Partners in Health and Advocacy

Connecting with physicians to actively

participate in building a healthy Colorado.

What is the Connection?

The Colorado Medical Society Connection, (CMSC) is a volunteer organization of physicians, physician spouses, medical students and resident physicians and their spouses working with the Colorado Medical Society (CMS) to actively participate in building a healthy Colorado.

Why do we need the Connection?

The Connection (formerly the Alliance) has long been active in community service in Colorado. Whether it’s waging campaigns against childhood obesity or assembling disaster preparedness tool kits, the Connection has championed issues important to all Coloradoans.

Now, the CMS Connection is expanding its network by providing leadership in areas of health care policy, legislative advocacy and economic viability of physician practices.

During a statewide tour to county Alliances from Grand Junction to Alamosa, we heard that people are hungry for a united effort to address health care issues, work to ensure physicians are able to have a viable practice and have access to accurate information on health care policy immediately.

How will the Connection make a difference?

The Connection is moving forward and joining with our partners across the state to build a health care network that will promote health care reform and health care issues important to our community.  Through a direct mail program, an updated web site and a growing email database we are reaching out to physicians, physician’s spouses, residents, medical students and their spouses.  Our goal is to build the best health care network in the country and we are off to a great start.
